Hallo,
I see WebService::HMRC on cpan with a note that it was originally
developed for LedgerSMB, but I can find no reference to it in the list
archives.
Is there an existing implementation of this?
Cheers

Hello,
my name is Rezan Kedik.
At the moment I am writing my thesis on the topic of "Diffusion rate
of open source business software".
I wanted to ask if some of you (community) would be willing to do a
quick survey.
You would conduct the survey using the software "LedgerSMB".
I would be very grateful for any help.
With best regards
Rezan Kedik
Hi all,
With this mail, I'd like to solicit contributions in the form of
testimonials: regularly, the project receives feedback of what can or
should be improved. Far less regular is the feedback of what *good*
experiences people have had with the software.
Our site contains a section with Testimonials (
https://ledgersmb.org/testimonials) which is a place where potential new
users can read about the experiences from existing users.
As it stands, the current testimonials are old aging and the project is
urgently in need of new and recent testimonials. This is your chance to
help the project. No coding required. No documentation writing required.
Only about half an hour in which you write down what your experience with
the software is and why and how it benefits your company(companies).
Yesterday one new testimonial was contributed; I'm looking for at least two
more.
Please contribute this half hour in appreciation of the software you've
enjoyed over the past year(s) and donate your testimonial by replying
(privately) to this e-mail so I can publish it on the site.

Bye,
Erik.
http://efficito.com -- Hosted accounting and ERP.
Robust and Flexible. No vendor lock-in.
I'm sending notice that the 1.6 release line will reach End-Of-Life by
Thursday 10 June - next month. As per our community policy, there will be
no further fixes applied to the 1.6 series of releases. After its initial
release on June 10, 2018 and 31 patch releases - the latest released just 5
days ago on May 2 - the 1.6 release line will have received 3 years of
support.
Note that even though the community won't provide further releases, the
software is considered highly stable and will keep working as it has. This
End-Of-Life announcement has no impact on migration paths to newer versions
of LedgerSMB: upgrades from 1.6 to more recent versions will remain
supported for many years to come. (Upgrade paths from LedgerSMB 1.2 and 1.3
have seen recent maintenance.)
Should you want to keep running 1.6 and be in need of support or
maintenance, you could try contacting one of the parties listed on the page
for commercial support: https://ledgersmb.org/content/commercial-support.
They may be able to provide support beyond the community commitment.
Available options for versions with community support are the 1.7 release
line which will receive community releases until October 04, 2022 or the
1.8 release line which will see community support until September 04, 2022.
(For releases 1.8 and newer, only 2 years of community support have been
committed due to the increased release frequency: new minor versions are
now released on a yearly basis.) For community support until 2023,
upgrading to 1.9 is advised, which is expected to be released later this
summer.

Bye,
Erik.
http://efficito.com -- Hosted accounting and ERP.
Robust and Flexible. No vendor lock-in.
After I lost a hard drive on my server, I've been reconstructing from
backups, and decided this is a good time to finally migrate away from
1.3.25 to 1.8.11, which I normally wouldn't dream of right before needed
to do taxes, but needs must. After much trial and error, I've got the
server up and talking to Chrome through PSGI. I have gotten as far as
setup.pl, and tried migrating one of my company databases. The
migration crashed with:
"Failed to execute pre-migration check no_null_ac_amounts at
/usr/local/ledgersmb/tools/../lib/LedgerSMB/Scripts/setup.pm line 669."
"dbversion 1.5.30, company"
"Status: 500 Internal server error (PSGI.pm run_new)"
The starman log has a possibly relevant error : Failed to execute
bin/lsmb-request.pl (): Can't locate PatternLayout.pm in @INC (you may
need to install the PatternLayout module) (@INC contains:
/usr/local/ledgersmb/tools/../lib /usr/local/ledgersmb/tools/.. lib

PERL5LIB points to /usr/lib/perl5/site-perl/5.26.0/ Grasping at
straws, I added a path to /usr/local/ledgersmb/ with no change
I'm running Postgresql 13.2, Perl 5.26.0, and Apache 2.4.27 with reverse
proxy to starman running on port 5762. I have a "pg_dumpall" backup of
my databases, so I can experiment, but at the moment I'm stumped.
