An initial version of the debian ledgersmb-1.6 package for version 1.6.8-2 has been released and uploaded to our our PPA[1], for Ubuntu 'cosmic' (v18.10) as well as 'bionic' (v18.04 LTS). It has also been uploaded to our PPA[2], for 'cosmic' (v18.10) as well as 'xenial (v16.04 LTS) and 'bionic (v18.04 LTS). (The Debian source packages are available as well.) Granting read only access

Hi, I want to give my tax accountant read only access to my 1.5.12 ledgersmb business account. This is not separation of duties, but more like "separate" duties. My accountant needs to see everything including saved files pretty much attached to every invoice. Initially I thought this might be as simple as logging into postgresql database and executing a "grant select on database my_company_db to taxuser;". Having looked at the tables in ledgersmb (lsmb_my_company_db__user_manage being one), I suspect it isn't that straight forward. Does anybody use the order/invoice/rfq Sales Person or Employee field?

Hi, On the sales order screen, there's a Sales Person field and on the purchase order screen, there's an Employee field. As per https://github.com/ledgersmb/LedgerSMB/issues/3910, that field is currently not being saved when the order is saved. In the code, I think I found the cause of this issue. However, I want to make sure my assessment of the fix is correct and prevent myself from introducing (new) breakage. So, I'm looking for people who use the order/invoice/rfq fields mentioned above. You can help me devise test cases to make sure that if the functionality works for you, it'll keep doing so even after my changes. Currently there are a total of 15 translations; 8 that have been completed but 7 where the new ones still need to be done. The ones that still need to be done are: gl.po, it.po, ja.po, pl.po, pt.po, sk.po, and sv.po.

An initial version of the debian ledgersmb-1.6 package version 1.6.6-2 (package version 2 for LedgerSMB v1.6.6) has been released and uploaded to our PPA[2], for 'cosmic' (v18.10) as well as 'bionic' (v18.04 LTS). I would have liked to make it available as well on 'xenial (v16.04 LTS), but at least one of the new (for LedgerSMB v1.6.x) dependencies fails to build for it so that needs more investigation. That is the same reason I have not uploaded new package to our apt package repository for 'main' in stretch[1].
