[NOTICE] End-Of-Life notice for 1.9

To all users of LedgerSMB 1.9, this is a notice that the community support for 1.9 expires on September 24th. As of 2023-09-24, there will be no more releases for 1.9, which has had 30 patch releases over its 2-year period of community support. Users running versions older than 1.10 are encouraged to upgrade to 1.10 which will receive community support until 2024-10-08. If the remaining period of community support is too short on 1.10, please note that we're currently working toward a 1.11 release which is expected to appear over the coming weeks. 1.11 will - like its predecessors 1.9 and 1.10 - receive 2 years of community support. If it is not possible to upgrade to 1.10 or 1.11, please note that although community support has expired, commercial support may be available for these older versions from vendors. LedgerSMB 1.11.0 Release candidate 1 available for testing

All, It's the time of year to create a new minor release, which will be 1.11 this year. In preparation of the final release, the project has published 1.11.0-rc1. The release can be downloaded as a tarball from https://download.ledgersmb.org/f/Beta%20Releases/1.11.0-rc1/ or you can use the Docker image: https://github.com/ledgersmb/ledgersmb-docker/pkgs/container/ledgersmb/1231… Please download this release and provide feedback so we can release the best 1.11.0 possible. Preparations for 1.11 release - translator heads-up

Last weekend, the project created the 1.11 release branch as part of the preparations for the upcoming 1.11 release now planned for end September. This mail is a call to translators to update the LedgerSMB translations on Transifex (https://www.transifex.com/ledgersmb/ledgersmb/dashboard/) while there is still time. Please note that some translations don't have any active translators assigned at the moment, yet are in need of updating. So for those of you who are wondering what to give back to the community, please sign up and spend some time translating terms for your favorite language. There's no need to be all-or-nothing about this: all contributions are appreciated - there's no need to wait for a moment where you have time to do a full translation. While working on the 1.11 translation, all translations that match those in 1.10 and 1.9 are being copied to those versions by Transifex automatically, so by contributing to 1.11, you also contribute to current release lines.
